XXXXXXXXo gave me your email address and told me about your wonderful
work! My husband and I created and run the website for XXXXXXXXXXXXX
.
We adopted a retiring MWD in January, and found out that many
things are wrong with the Adoption system. We are trying to fix that through the
government and through the upper ranks in the military, HOWEVER...since things
are moving rather slowly...in the meantime we are finding MWDs which are
retiring and need adoption...and trying to find good adoptive home options for
them. We notify the people who are interested in adopting and connect them with
the kennel master, and they take it from there!
Why I am writing you today...we have a MWD that we are trying to
find a home for who will most probably be retiring from XXXXX, XXXXX in the
next several months. He has passed the Adoption Suitability test...but there is
SOME question in my mind (things I know from my sources) that he may be a bit on
the agressive side. Would there be a home for him in your program? I believe
from what I know that he is currently agressive because he has not had good
folks taking care of him...I believe they view him as a "bother" because he is
retiring...and are not loving to him...I don't believe he has a regular handler
either. SO...he may not continue to be agressive at all in a good situation...I
believe he has a good mind psychologically. Do you think that you would have a
placement idea for him in mind? His former handler who would give anything to
have him...is in Afghanistan...there is a possibility that when she returns in a
year that she could take him...but I need to locate a GOOD home for him NOW so
that he is not put down...
Do you have any IDEAS?
I will wait for your response...If you would like to discuss this...you may
call me at XXXXXXX. It would be great if we could work together for the
benefit of our noble MWD Heroes! Please take a look at my website X
XXXXXX If the information there would benefit your readers, feel free to link to it if
you wish.
Thanks for your help,
Best Wishes,

Our Hero's Story
The insurgents were trying infiltrate the Abu Ghraib prison defenses to
cause as much death and destruction as possible. Our Hero MWD pictured (below) saved over 200 American lives that ONE DAY at Abu Ghraib prison in
2002 when he alerted on their explosive filled truck. Our MWD Hero won one for
the USA!!
After returning from their deployment, the MWD was separated from his
handler when she was transferred back to the U.S. MWDs must learn to work with
new handlers each time their former handler transfer to another base. Time after
time and change after change, America's Hero MWDs give their BEST to protect and
DEFEND our great nation. When they retire...it is up to us to give the retiring
MWD OUR BEST!
Thanks, Danny! You all are GODSENDS!!
