Support MWD/K-9 Units

Military K-9 TeamHow To Help MWD/K-9 Units

We often get requests from people and sponsors who want to help MWD and K-9 units with morale booster items and supplies. And, Save-A-Vet itself frequently ships supplies to canine units.

Meeting the needs of these units requires information that is current, specific and exact -- responsive to the conditions and limitations each unit faces at the time.

Because of this, we are maintaining a list here of groups and programs that are dedicated to this specific need -- who try to keep in contact with canine units and learn their needs on an ongoing basis.

If you find trustworthy ones that we have left out, or if you know that any of these programs are not keeping current and should be dropped from the list, please send us an email so we can keep this list up to date.

The A.D.O.P.T. Program Troop Dogs project and U.S. War Dogs Association Operation Military Care K-9 both send care packages to MWD teams overseas.

Both projects offer ways for groups, clubs, companies and individuals to get involved. They both also seem to try and stay in touch with deployed units and maintain current lists of requested items.
